Is color important?

Carey Bienert -

Color does not effect the life cycle, release, or overall capability of our fabrics, tapes, or belts. Most PTFE coated fabrics are unpigmented. The color is not controlled. Most PTFE coated products are light brown in color. The color can be somewhat streaky and irregular.

Color does, however act as a differentiator, something that can stand out, as well as dictates how visible grease penetration or stains can be. This is particularly important in food applications when you want to see a clean surface. Products needing a uniform appearance should use a pigmented coating..
